4 January 2021-Blog

Just to wish all my guests a happy and healthy new year in 2021! Currently my cottage is closed again due to the government lockdown affecting the whole of Wales, although here in Gwynedd we have relatively few cases of Covid 19.

I am taking the opportunity to clear the old fencing and ivy from the garden and have some of the old stone wall rebuilt, then I can plan a new flower border in the spring! There is snow on the mountains here today which looks stunning in the winter sunshine, and I feel privileged to live in such a beautiful part of Britain.

I look forward to welcoming my guests back to Twll y Cae again as soon as I am permitted to do so.

With my best wishes for the new year, Ann

I was very pleased to re-open Twll y Cae to visitors at the end of July and have been enormously grateful for the support and understanding of all my guests during the uncertainties of lockdown this year. My Covid 19 cleaning protocols are all in place and approved through the AA 'Covid Confident' and the Visit Britain 'Good to Go' schemes. The cottage has been fully booked through the summer and it has been wonderful to see Criccieth buzzing with life again. Small businesses, attractions and restaurants here have reopened and adjusted well to all the new requirements. From what I see social distancing has been adhered to locally and the Welsh Government rules followed, so hopefully we can avoid any more local lockdowns in this part of Wales.

I will be advertising my accommodation at Twll y Cae independently for 2021and please click here if you wish to sign up for updates on special offers and more information.
